Change image DPI

Set the DPI stored inside a PNG or JPG, for example to 300 for print. The pixels are not touched, so there is no quality loss; only the print size your software shows changes.

How to use it

  1. Drop PNG or JPG files.
  2. Pick the DPI (300 for most print shops and Etsy).
  3. Download the files; we show the print size in inches.

Questions

Does changing DPI improve quality?

No. DPI only tells printers how big to print the pixels. To print larger without blur, start from more pixels or use a vector (SVG).

What DPI do sublimation and print-on-demand need?

300 DPI at the final print size is the usual standard.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, so your file never leaves your device and nothing is stored on our servers.

Is it free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
