Free online vector editor

A free Illustrator alternative in your browser. Open an SVG, PDF or AI file or start on a blank artboard, draw with the Pen and shape tools, then export SVG, PDF, EPS, DXF or PNG. Create an SVG logo or a Cricut cut file with no sign-up, and your files never leave your device.

Open the vector editor

Runs in your browser. The first visit downloads the editor once (about 20 MB).

Works best on a computer or tablet

This is a full desktop-class editor. On a phone the screen is small and the first load is about 20 MB, so it only starts when you tap.

Questions

Is this vector editor really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no trial and no daily limit. It is the open-source VectorCraft editor, hosted by HEEEXY.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The editor runs inside your browser. Opening uses your browser's file picker and saving is a normal download; nothing is sent to our servers.

Is it a real Illustrator alternative?

It follows Illustrator's layout, tools, menus and shortcuts, with the Pen, Pathfinder, Shape Builder, Appearance and artboards, so it feels familiar. It is young open-source software: great for logos, icons and cut files, but not every professional Illustrator feature is there yet, and Illustrator's own .ai editing data is not always kept.

Can I edit an existing SVG file?

Yes. Open it with File › Open or drag it onto the window. Paths, shapes, text and colors become editable, and you can export a new SVG.

Can I make SVG files for Cricut?

Yes. Draw or open your design, merge overlapping shapes with Pathfinder, then export an SVG (or DXF) and upload it to Cricut Design Space. To turn a PNG into a cut file automatically, try our Image to SVG for Cricut tool.

Can AI draw the logo first?

Yes. In HEEEXY AI Studio's Vector mode an AI model draws an editable SVG from your description; open it here with “Edit in vector editor”.

Does it work on a phone?

It is a full desktop-class editor, so it works best on a computer or tablet with a mouse or pen. It can open on recent phones, but the screen is small and the first load is about 20 MB.

Can I use my designs commercially?

Yes. What you create is yours. The editor itself is open source under the MIT or Apache-2.0 license.
